Dit voorstel gaat niet door, omdat volgens onze adviseurs er een beter middel is: een massa brieven schrijven. Dus gaan we dat doen.
Op 11 februari is er een groot protest gepland in Amsterdam. Doe daar aan mee! Wij gaan ook!
Het ACTA verdrag is deze week door veel Europese lidstaten ondertekend. Hierin wordt de bescherming van intellectueel eigendom nog verder versterkt, in potentie ten kostte van enkele internet fundamenten.
Last-minute is overal in Europa een storm van protest losgebarsten. Nu ook in Utrecht.
Laat merken dat copyright niet zaligmakend is, protesteer op woensdag 8 februari om 16:45 mee. Op de champagne en borrelhapjes van de Utrechtse Nieuwe Media Borrel die daarna plaatsvindt nemen we alvast een voorschot.
Een kwartier lang zullen we zoveel mogelijk aandacht trekken. Alle (legale) middelen zijn daarbij geoorloofd.

This week the ACTA treaty was signed by most European member states. This treaty creates potentiallt far-reaching copyright protections which are at odds with many uses of the internet that we think are positive.
Last-minute a storm of protests has erupted all over Europe. That storm has now reached Utrecht.
Show that you don't believe copyright should be protected at every cost, join us for the protest on wednesday the 8th of februari, at 16:45h, in front of Utrecht's City Hall. Champagne and food from the Utrecht New Media party will be brought over.
For 15 minutes we'll try to get as much attention as (legally) possible.
