Leuker kunnen we het niet maken, wel gemakkelijker. Linux, de eigenwijze veroveraar die de grote spelers in de IT op de knieen kreeg en ze liet samenwerken. Wie kent Linux niet? Echter wie kent Linux echt? In een serie workshops gaan we aan de slag met Linux en bekijken wat we er wel niet allemaal mee kunnen als artiesten. Afhankelijk van het aantal aanmeldingen gaan we steeds geavanceerdere onderwerpen behandelen:

[TUX] Introductie en Ubuntu Release Party [TUX] Bash, oh no, no more gui [TUX] Xorg, het oog wil ook wat [TUX] Linux Audio, Pulse Audio en ALSA [TUX] Networking Essentials, waar linux altijd al goed in was [TUX] Python, de alleskunner [TUX] Linux, het kloppende transplanteerbare hart ... meer volgt, naar gelang er behoefte is Stichting z25.org is een ontwikkelinstelling van nieuwe media voor cultuur en innovatie. Binnen z25 wordt er met opensource methodieken en software gewerkt. Linux is een belangrijk platform voor z25 en wordt gebruikt voor kunstwerken, installaties, theatervoorstellingen en dagelijkse taken. De workshops worden door z25 georganiseerd met het oog op de praktijk van de nieuwe media kunstenaar.

We cannot make it more fun however more easy should be possible. Linux, the stubborn conqueror who got the major IT players on the knees and made them cooperate. Who doesn't know Linux? But who actually knows Linux? In a series of workshops we will dive into the world of Linux and see what we can accomplish as artists. Depending on the number of applications we'll get into increasingly sophisticated subjects:

Z25 applies opensource methods and software throughout the organisation. Linux is an important platform for Z25 and is used for art, installations, theater and everyday tasks. The workshops are organized by z25 with a focus on the new media artist.
