Tijmen Schep

Tijmen Schep (1981) is a Dutch adviser, organiser and developer who is fascinated by the turbulence that occurs as digital media intertwine themselves more and more with our everyday lives.

Through SETUP he explores how new creative domains such as online-, hacker- and coder- culture are entering popular culture, and how ideas and ideals from those domains are influencing what we think is valuable in society and the arts.
 
Tijmen holds an MA in both Digital Media Design at the Higher School of the Arts (HKU), as well as New Media and Digital Culture from the University of Utrecht. Next to SETUP he also works at The New Institute, the Dutch institute for the creative industries.
