Kinect Exhibition in Public Space

Het Kinect accessoire voor de Xbox is een bron van creativiteit gebleken. Deze experimenten willen we in winkelruiten installeren.

De Kinect, een soort webcam die je op de Xbox aansluit om games te spelen 'zonder dat je nog een controller nodig hebt', is mateloos populair geworden. Niet alleen voor games, maar juist daarbuiten. SETUP wil van deze explosie van creativiteit de beste werken tentoonstellen. En niet in een museum, maar in winkelruiten, buiten. Op die manier kunnen zoveel mogelijk mensen er mee spelen.

We gaan dit idee onderzoeken.

  • We nemen contact op met Microsoft om te kijken of ze met ons willen samenwerken. 
  • Ook gaan we op zoek naar locaties in de binnenstad die mee willen doen. Weet je een goeie locatie? Laat het ons weten!
The Kinect tool for the Xbox has generated a lot of creative experiments. We want to show them in Utrecht's shopwindows.

The Kinect, a webcam-like peripheral for the Xbox gaming system, has stirred up quite a bit of creativy beyond it's original use for gaming alone. There are hundreds of creative tools that have emerged. At SETUP we'd love to showcase some of these amazing applications, especially ones created in Utrecht or Holland.

We want to avoid hiding something that is so much fun inside a museum. Why not show these works in the streets?

We're going to look into this idea.

  • Can we get Microsoft to support this exhibition?
  • Can we find some good places in Utrecht's center where we can install these 'artworks'?
