Van 16 t/m 18 november zal Startup Weekend voor de tweede keer plaatsvinden in de Domstad. Het thema van dit jaar, Ideas that last, richt zich op sustainability. Ondernemende inventors, tech-, design- en (serious-)game-enthousiastelingen worden uitgenodigd om hun briljante ideeën ten uitvoer te brengen in slechts 54 uur.
Een vrolijke kruising tussen businessschool, codecamp en slumberparty. Startup Weekend begint op de vrijdag, waar deelnemers vanuit allerlei disciplines hun ideeën pitchen. Uit de meest populaire ideeën ontstaan teams, die op zaterdag en zondag hun concept uitwerken. Er zijn diverse walk-in-workshops, waaronder Speed networking, Online customer development, Open data/API Mashups, Startups in the media & Pitching. Met de nodige cafeïne, goede maaltijden en weinig slaap staan er na 54 uur nieuwe startups op de planken. De winnaars krijgen bovendien een kickstart met diverse prijzen.
Ook als je nog geen eigen idee hebt, kun je je aansluiten bij een team. Kom ook en lanceer een innovatieve startup onder begeleiding van ervaren coaches en inspirerende sprekers.

Startup Weekend started out in 2007 and has since then due to its huge success been held in more than 300 cities and launched over thousands of new profitable businesses.
Startup Weekend starts Friday night. Participants from different disciplines pitch their ideas for an audience of 100 people. The participating business experts, developers, designers, engineers, and other professionals will join the idea that appeals to the most of them. The teams formed around the most popular ideas will work the rest of the weekend on the execution of these concepts. The teams can work day and night, with the support of endless amounts of caffeine…
Don’t have an idea? No worries, if you like to build cool things you’re welcome to join the other teams!
