De privacy instellingen van Facebook zijn complex. Waarom toch? En heel praktisch: hoe stellen je ze optimaal in?

Facebook stelt zonder blikken of blozen dat privacy voor de meeste mensen niet meer van belang is. Ook een Google topman riep dit enkele weken terug. Maar is dat wel zo? Is het vanuit hun businessmodel gezien (persoonlijke informatie is geld waard) niet vooral wishful thinking? SETUP wil er meer van weten en organiseert daarom de Facebook Privacy Party. Hapjes, drankjes, en vooral: samen de privacy instellingen van onze Facebook accounts aanpassen.

Facebook's privacy settings are notoriously complex. What were they thinking? And more practically: how are the best settings?

Facebook has stated that privacy is not that important anymore. Is that true? isn't it just wishful thinking by a company that turns private information into money? SETUP wants to know more. That's why we're organising the Facebook Privacy Party. Food, drinks, and most importantly: setting up our Facebook accounts to respect the level of privacy you want.
